Anthony Hightower received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1994 and has been working as a professional artist ever since. Currently he is the Senior Graphic Artist and Web Designer at a Benefits Administration Company. He began his career illustrating Role Playing and Collectible Card Games for such companies as White Wolf, Decipher, Last Unicorn, Sabertooth, Chaosium, Holistic and Wizards of the Coast. He also appeared in Star Wars Insider and on Star Wars.com.

He has also worked on New Aeon for Chaosium, Inc., Byzantium Secundus for Holistic Games, the Dune and Star Trek Role Playing Games for Last Unicorn Games, Star Trek Card Game for Decipher, and Warhammer 40,000 for Sabertooth Games.
In 2004 he turned his attention to his first love: Comics. His Comics work includes Dish for Vineyard Press, and the shorts Graffitti and K.I.P: Breaking the Seal written by Steven Prouse for the 803 Anthologies. In addition he has completed three stories for Negative Burn from Desperado / Image Comics: Years in the 2007 Summer Annual, Slumber in issue #11 and Acid Rock in issue #13. He wrote and illustrated the short story Down Rottingwood Road for the anthology Sequential Suicide: Rottingwood Road and wrote the story, In a Pig's Eye for the anthology Sequential Suicide: Slop both from 803 Studios. He then illustrated the mini-series Gutwrencher written by Shannon Eric Denton, Keith Giffen, and Steve Niles for Shadowline/Image Comics. More recently IDW has collected Gutwrencher into a Trade Paperback for which he produced 24 pages of brand new material. His latest project is the story Trenchcoats, Cigarettes and Shotguns: Arch & Renzo written by Chuck Brown for Asylum Press.
